Via Washington Examiner:
Sen. Barbara Boxer may not run for re-election in 2016, the first shakeup of the California Senate delegation since the first year of the Clinton administration.
The 14th longest-serving senator, Boxer has not officially made up her mind about seeking a fifth term two years from now, but several signs point toward retirement, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The 73-year-old senator, who joined the Senate in 1993, has less than $200,000 in her campaign account compared to $3.5 million this time last year.
“She is not running for re-election,” said one longtime Democratic fundraiser with deep ties to Boxer.
