Obama: "The Affordable Care Act is here to stay,"

That won't likely be true is Republicans win the White House in 2016. Obama has almost exclusively implemented Obamacare by regulation and Executive Orders. That can all be undone on the 1st day of a new administration. The penalty can be waived for all businesses and  individuals. All plans previous to Obamacare can be declared grandfathered. Even the taxes can be waived.

Obama on Tuesday hailed the enrollment of more than 7 million people in insurance under his signature health law as “a big step forward” that will give Americans peace of mind and change the landscape of health care for years to come.
He also rebuked his Republican foes of his law for standing in the way and spreading fear about this overhaul, quipping that “Armageddon has not arrived” and that they are holding back the United States from joining other advanced countries around the world in providing health coverage.
“The debate over repealing this law is over. The Affordable Care Act is here to stay,” Mr. Obama said during remarks in the White House Rose Garden.
He pitched the six-month enrollment period as a comeback story that defied the odds and hit key milestones even after HealthCare.gov, the federal portal that serves three dozen states, crashed in the opening weeks of enrollment in October.
“Despite several lost weeks … 7.1 million Americans have now signed up for private insurance plans through these marketplaces,” he said to a standing ovation led by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat.
