Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) made it clear he is no "birther", but Obama's policies make him wonder "what planet he’s from?"
The Hill reported:
“I’m not one who questions the existence of the president’s birth certificate,” Pawlenty said.
The former Minnesota governor and possible 2012 Republican presidential candidate used that line as a set-up, though, to a larger jab at Obama.
“But when you listen to his policies, don’t you at least wonder what planet he’s from? On what planet do they create jobs by taxing the daylight out of people trying to grow jobs? On what planet do they try to reduce the deficit by spending even more? On what planet do they make healthcare better by putting bureaucrats in charge?” he said, according to prepared remarks.
Hey All,
ReplyDeleteYou know this eligibility issue has gone on far too long.
Two things need to happen, in my opinion.
The Supreme Court needs to do it's job, and define what the intent of our Founding Fathers was when they wrote "natural born citizen" when defining who could be President.
I find it hard to believe that the Founders believed that someone who was born in this Country to an illegal alien could gorw up to become President, but that is the argument of those that defned Obama.
The Supreme Court was established just for this situation, and I am confused as to why they are NOT doing their job?
The second thing is that Obama needs to release the documents pertaining to his eligibiltiy.
I believe that even if you are born a "natural born citizen", you can be disqualified for a number of reasons from being President (one example is failing to register with the Selective Service within the allowed time)
The Constitution states that ONLY "natural born citizens" can be President.
It doesn't state that ALL "natural born citizens" can be President.
