Can anybody explain what is so bad about the national debt? Japan, Britain, and many other nations have higher levels of debt. Some say it will lead to inflation, but inflation is non-existant and businesses are cutting prices. Some say it drives up interest rates, but we are in the greatest treasury bull market in decades. I've never found an example where the national debt hurt us.
