In an attempt to keep it's citizens from starving to death, North Korea is moving away from Socialism and opening up free markets. Meanwhile, President Obama has moved to take over our health care system, auto industry, banking system, the Internet and our energy supply. Socialism has failed in every country that has tried it. What part of that lesson doesn't President Obama understand? He seems unable to abandon his socialist roots.
The Washington Post reported:
Bowing to reality, the North Korean government has lifted all restrictions on private markets — a last-resort option for a leadership desperate to prevent its people from starving.
In recent weeks, according to North Korea observers and defector groups with sources in the country, Kim Jong Il’s government admitted its inability to solve the current food shortage and encouraged its people to rely on private markets for the purchase of goods. ...
“The North Korean government has tried all possible ways [for a planned economy] and failed,...
Yes a Free Market will save us all, just look at the Gulf and see for yourself how well Corps regulate themselves given little to no oversight.
ReplyDeleteNews Flash "Anonymous", the reason we cannot plus the damn hole is because of regulations brought on by the libs/environmentalists who through using millions of dollars in lobbying, forced BP to drill so far off shore.

For some reason, almost all the trolls are named "Anonymous"
You could actually respond.
ReplyDeleteIf the free market is such a perfect system why did the disaster in the Gulf happen?
Pierce,
ReplyDeleteNo one forced BP to drill that far out - they did so because they thought they could make a profit doing so. They failed.
Now everyone is going to have to pay for there mistakes. I fail to understand why so many are willing to trash teens who get pregnant yet turn the other cheek or apologize with a corp puts thousands out of work.

That isn't completely accurate. Charles Krauthammer explains here.
Yeas Anony, the "free" market is to blame for the Regulators who missed inspecting that platform How Often?
ReplyDeleteJust as conservatives like Jindal are suddenly calling for more big gov't to cap a well, and clean up a spill that is under Federal authority, and polluting shores in the States' authorities.
They are not calling for more gov't. they are demanding the gov't do it's damned job for once. All the while the states' clean up efforts are being slowed, stopped, or blocked by federal authorities.
Stupidity of non-free market gov't planning like not allowing the Dutch ships to clean up oil because some of the cleaned oil slips away in the process. So instead of gathering a large percentage of the oil ,and a smaller, less damaging amount gets to shore, ALL OF IT GETS ASHORE!
And as an FYI. The most polluting forms of Gov't in the world are not the true Free Markets. It is Communist and Socialist run nations. And even the soviets would nuke a well to stop the leaking.
Congrats on being totally clueless.
Man or Woman up and pop out from behind that veil of Anonymity.
What happens if North Korea strike pay dirt? Look out.
ReplyDeleteAnon--BP was regulated. BY OBAMA, who made them drill 40 miles out and in 5000' of water. OH. And his MMS did a helluva bang up job with the inspections too.
I hope you realize that ENVY (not only greed) is a sin too. It sounds as though you love to envy others wealth.
ALSO--Jindal is SMALL GOVT and is getting more done than BIG GOVT--who seems to want this crisis to be as bad as possible (for cap and trade benefit)
The most Pro-Environmental President in US history sacrificing the environment in return for revenue? PRICELESS!
This cluster-flub will cost Obama his job & go down in history to discredit all LIBERALS as prompted by alterior motives.
OPEC = Obama's Partnership for Environmental Communism
BP = Barack's Partner (gave him the most donations of all--and it apparently paid off!)
