Many readers will dismiss this story because the source is the National Enquirer and it could be untrue, but, you should remember, the National Enquirer was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for nailing John Edwards butt to the wall in a similar cheating scandal. The Pulitzer Prize committee found the Enquirer to be a legitimate news source. Personally, I hope this story isn't true. I hate to see any marriage have to publicly, or privately, endure this kind of challenge. It would destroy the one thing I have respected about President Obama. He has appeared to be a loyal family man. We can expect three things to occur now. Some of his opponents will use this to 'make hay' politically against him, the mainstream media will try to ignore the story and his core liberal supporters won't care what he did. After all, most Democrats continued to support former President Bill Clinton after he turned a vulnerable young female intern into a humidor. And he did that in the White House.
The woman named in the alleged tryst is Vera Baker. Vera Baker is a former fundraiser for the Democratic Black Caucus and was the Finance Director for Barack Obama's 2004 Illinois Senate campaign. She also has served as the Deputy Political Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Vera Baker is an attractive 35 year-old with multiple college degrees.
