No looting, no crime spree, few deaths (God rest their souls) - that's WHY no media coverage. The MSM is a soul-less bunch and care only if affects their messiah or can implicate the Tea Party.
Kudos to you Nashville, God Bless and give you strength to carry on.

I am so sorry for my TN folks...married in LaVergne, lots of family surrounding....but you know what.....Tennessee will survive. It is a State that shares integrity, family, values and neighbors....God Bless Each of You and the sun does come up tomorrow!
Our prayers go up for the people affected by the flood in Tennessee. Having friends and family in the state, we are aware of the integrity of the people there and their devotion to family, neighbors, and values. I am concerned about the lack of compassion displayed by the people who have commented though. The damage from the flood in Tennessee and the number of families displaced was not even close to what happened in New Orleans. Sadly it appears that compassion is not one of your moral values.

At first I wasn't going to respond, figuring you for a liberal troll, but ya know what? People like you are so over, and we are all very tired of being called names, or having our intentions misrepresented.
No where on this page does anyone compare TN to Katrina. YOU are the only one doing that. Project much?
Just because katrina was 'bigger' doesn't make the suffering in TN any less. And 1 life or 1800 lives lost is still a loss to someone's family.
Billions of dollars were donated for katrina by folks just like the ones commenting on this board. Many people went there at their own expense to help out.
We have great compassion for the victims of katrina, but not as you'd describe it. We feel for them because they have been kept by their lefty gov't overlords for so long, that they have no idea how to fend for themselves. And they are STILL waiting for that same gov't to rebuild. Good luck with that.
TN on the other hand has already rolled up their sleeves and hitched up their boots and are taking care of business. They aren't on the TV 24/7 wringing their hands over who, what, when etc.
If we choose to 'admire' that quality and offer our high 5's because of it, it doesn't mean we have no compassion for others.
The old saying 'if it bleeds it leads' is truer in today's media, than ever before. TN ain't bleeding, because they knew how to apply the tourniquet.
I repeat "I'm proud to know ya, TN."
As soon as you are in TN, helping with the clean-up, get back to us with your lecturing over compassion. Till then, get over yourself! Maybe go to NO and 'teach a man to fish'.
Th Red Cross has graded the TN (not just Nashville, but over 30 counties) a Grade 5 disaster. Katrina was also a Grade 5 disaster. Also, Nashville did not know a major flood was coming--the forecast called for some "localized flooding,"not massive flooding! Katrina was expected. A historical flood was not! I am a native of Mississippi, living in the Nashville area. We were affected in Nashville. My family was affected in Mississippi. Both were catastrophic.Katrina was covered well by the media. Tennessee was virtually ignored. There is no excuse.

I wish I had posted that comment. Thanks.
Stunning. We aren't even getting this coverage, and I am IN Tennessee.
God Bless Nashville.
We are Tennessee. We are the Volunteer State. Good thing as we will probably have to take care of ourselves.
The six inches of water I got in my place in Memphis suddenly does not look so bad.
Can you post any link(s) on where to help (aside from the RC)?
God Bless Nashville!
