Video: Obama On Nuclear Conflict With Iran: "I'm Not Interested In Victory"

Barack Obama is not interested in victory in our struggle to keep Iran from gaining nuclear weapons?

Obama tells reporters at G20 Meeting-- "I'm not interested in victory."

  1. Hey All,

The part I found most interesting about this video is the part where he says:

"Iran repeatedly says that they are pursuing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, and it's actions contradict it's words".

Don't you find it interesting that you could use the SAME statement about Obama?

Obama repeatedly said that he wouldn't raise ANY tax on anyone who made LESS than 250 grand a year, but yet he raised taxes on cigarettes by 60 cents a pack as one of his first acts as President.

Isn't that repeatedly saying something and his actions totally contradicting what he said?

Didn't Obama promise repeatedly during the campaign that he would go "line by line" to cut out unnecessary spending from the budget?

Well, when the FIRST budget bill came to his desk, did he go "line by line" to cut out ANY of the almost 8,000 "earmarks" in it?

Isn't that repeatedly saying something and his actions totally contradicting what he said?

Didn't Obama repeatedly say during the campaign that he would allow a bill to sit on his desk for five days before signing it to allow the people to see what the Government is doing to them?

Then when the stimulus package was passed, he signed it after only 4 days, in some big "show" in Denver saying that the economy was now "fixed"? That's not the only bill he has broken this pledge with, but to me it is the most glaring because of the whole AIG bonus issue, which was ALLOWED by the stimulus package.

Isn't that repeatedly saying something and his actions totally contradicting what he said?

Didn't he say during the campaign that our priorities were wrong, and that we shouldn't be focusing on Iraq, that Afghanistan was where our focus should be, and that he would hunt Bin Laden down and "kill him"?

Now we hear that he is POLITICIZING the War in Afghanistan. It isn't the "right time politically" to request more troops for Afghanistan. News flash to the President, there is NO "right time" to ask for more troops for ANYWHERE within a war zone. It is going to be an unpopular decision no matter WHEN you ask for them. The question is, "is it the right thing to do" to send more troops in to a war zone. If the answer is "yes", then it should be done, no matter what "the people" will think. If the answer is "no", then don't send them. It never ceases to amaze me how these "powerful" politicians play patty cake with young folk's lives. You either go in to a war to win it as fast as possible, or you don't go in at all. Obama said he was going to win the war in Afghanistan, and NOW he is making it political.

Isn't that repeatedly saying something and his actions totally contradicting what he said?

Hasn't Obama repeatedly said that we should sit down and listen to BOTH SIDES of an issue to make an informed decision?

Well how many times has he called for BOTH SIDES to come to the White House to discuss the health care bill, cap and trade, the takeover of businesses, or ANY other issue (well except for that Harvard Professor and the Police Officer issue, where he stuck his foot in his own mouth with his remark on the story, and we ALL know how much THAT is going to help the Country as a whole)?

Isn't that repeatedly saying something and his actions totally contradicting what he said?

Didn't Obama say that he was going to have "open" hearings, and meetings with the health care industry, and that those meetings would be shown on CSPAN or be streamed on the "net"?

Well, did he not announce a "deal" with the pharmaceuticals where they agreed to something like 800 Billion dollars in cuts? Did ANYONE know about these secret "meetings"? Did ANYONE get to watch on CSPAN or on the "net"? No they didn’t these were "back room" deals done in secret.

Isn't that repeatedly saying something and his actions totally contradicting what he said?

    It's a pattern with Obama:

Say something, and then do exactly the opposite.

And Obama is criticizing Iran for doing exactly what he does.

    What a hypocrite.
