From Reuters:
The White House sought on Monday to pin the blame for the grave state of the war in Afghanistan on the Bush administration, which made Iraq its top military priority.
"This was underresourced, underfunded, undermanned and ignored for years," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said.
"The president is focused on ensuring that we meet measurable benchmarks. ... It's going to take some doing."
If you wonder why it is so difficult to get the Afghanistan National Army to take over, watch this video of them learning to do "jumping jacks."
Can you not tell the difference between Iraq and Afghanistan?

Yeah, right on all counts. Which one of them would you dispute? Sorry if that lays blame at the feet of Bushie and Company, but hey, that's where it belongs. You can't fight an unnecessary war nn Iraq, ignore the real war in Afghanistan, for almost eight years, and dodge responsibility.
As for the Afghanistan National Army taking over the fight, they shouldn't. This isn't Iraq, where Iraq's armed services have to stand up to defend Iraq. WE are in Afghanistan to go after the Taliban and Osama bin Laden. Remember OBL? The guy Bush promised he'd go get? He's still at large, either in Afghanistan or jumping back and forth across the border of Pakistan. and it is OUR MISSION to go get him, not the Afghanis.
