In spite of much posturing by Japan and the Obama Administration, the likely response to the expected missile launch by North Korea is diplomatic protests and calls for economic sanctions. Analysts predict the U.S and Japan will not attempt to shoot down the North Korean missile. Since there is little danger of their missile being shot down, the North Koreans have much to gain and little to lose by this launch.

North Korea plans to launch a rocket carrying a satellite sometime between April 4-8, ignoring stern warnings. Analysts in Seoul say the reclusive state has much to gain.
