The US launched a predator missile strike on a Taliban compound in Waziristan today. Eight Taliban and foreign fighters were reportedly killed and nine were wounded.

The Predator airstrike targeted a Taliban compound in the Sararogha region, a stronghold of Baitullah Mehsud.
Unmanned US Predator attack aircraft fired two Hellfire missiles at a Taliban compound in South Waziristan today. Eight people have been reported killed and nine were wounded in today’s airstrike, but no senior Taliban or al Qaeda leaders have been reported killed at this time. This is the way to fight the war on terror. I think the military is bloated beyond reason, but I wouldn't cut the tech.
It does make me wonder though, what the world will be like if in a decade or so, someone like you or me could build an autonomous drone the size of a fly with such lethality. The world is changing faster every day, critical mass is coming. It used to be you could grow old before the world changed beyond recognition. Now we may live through it several times over.
